LGBT Unity Glasgow is a membership organisation dedicated to supporting LGBTQIA+ refugees, asylum seekers, and other migrants. Founded in 2014 to fill a critical gap in services for our community in Scotland, we became a registered charity in 2022. Our organisation is proudly led by individuals with lived experiences as LGBTQIA+ refugees and asylum seekers.
We aim to:
– Ensure that LGBTQIA+ refugees and asylum seekers receive fair legal representation and that their unique needs are acknowledged in asylum claims.
– Provide a safe social space and emotional support.
– Network with other LGBTQIA+ and Refugee organisations.
– Campaign for human rights for LGBTQIA+ refugees and asylum seekers.
